About Us

Deer Ponds, formerly known as Earth Ponds, was founded in 2016 by Scott Maas and initially operated from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The company has recently undergone a rebranding and new ownership, now operating under the name “Deer Ponds.” It is currently based in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, and owned by a select group of hunters who were previously customers. The team at Deer Ponds knows how to attract deer and the critical role that water plays in this process.

Mature bucks weighing 200 pounds or more typically drink about 3-5 quarts of water daily, and research indicates that mature bucks often seek out water before food.

Establishing water sources with Deer Ponds on your farm or hunting grounds significantly enhances your chances of attracting deer, keeping them on your property instead of wandering off in search of water. Additionally, Deer Ponds offer protection against EHD and Blue Tongue diseases, featuring a fiberglass shell design with a hard surface that prevents mud accumulation, which can harbor these diseases.

Deer Ponds are designed to blend naturally into the environment, as they are made with real dirt, making them look and feel like genuine earth. Their sloped edges allow animals, large and small, to enter and exit safely without the risk of becoming trapped. Installation is quick and easy; within an hour, you can have a beautifully completed Deer Pond of any size, ready for immediate use by wildlife.

Deer Ponds are available in five different shapes and sizes, ranging from 50 gallons to 240 gallons. Best of all, Deer Ponds are proudly manufactured in the USA!
